FluoroSafety courses count towards MOC for American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (ABPMR) diplomates

Subspecialties of the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (ABPMR), including Pain Medicine, perform fluoroscopically-guided procedures. Pain management is the largest part of the ABPMR MOC examination and FluoroSafety’s educational programs can help ABPMR diplomates who use fluoroscopy stay current with modern safety practices and protect patients.

Our courses are comprehensive educational programs on the safe use of fluoroscopy. Fluoroscopy can pose a danger to patients, with some procedures using more radiation than diagnostic studies such as CT scans.  Radiation in fluoroscopy must be managed in the same way that physicians manage medications that they prescribe to patients.  Many ABPMR diplomates receive no formal education on the safe use of fluoroscopy during their clinical training.

FluoroSafety offers 3 courses that are approved for Self Assessment for Part II of the ABPMR MOC program for ABPMR diplomates. For pain management specialists who only occasionally use fluoroscopy, we recommend our Basic Training Program.  For ABPMR diplomates who specialize in procedures requiring fluoroscopy, our Advanced Training Program is appropriate.    ABPMR diplomates in California may also be interested in our Combination Training Program which provides all of the credits you need to renew your California Fluoroscopy Supervisor and Operator Permit.
