FluoroSafety courses help fulfill the patient safety CME requirement for Part II of the Maintenance of Certification in Anesthesiology Program (MOCA) of The American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA)

Our Training Really Works!

Our Fluoroscopy radiation safety CME not only counts towards ABA’s MOCA program by providing Patient Safety Credits, it really will help you keep your patients safe!
A study published in Academic Radiology showed that patient dose decreased after resident trainees took our Advanced Training Program. More details are available here.

The American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA®) requires diplomates to earn at least 20 credits of ABA-approved Patient Safety CME during each MOC cycle as part of life-long learning and self-assessment. All FluoroSafety training programs on the safe use of fluoroscopy have been approved by the ABA to help fulfill the Patient Safety requirement for Part II of the Maintenance of Certification in Anesthesiology (MOCA®) Program. Please consult the ABA website, http://www.theABA.org, for a list of all MOCA requirements.

The American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM), in the report of AAPM Task Group 124, recommends that physicians performing pain management procedures complete 4 hours of didactic training on the safe use of fluoroscopy. The Basic Training Program on the Safe Use of Fluoroscopy from FluoroSafety satisfies this recommendation. Anesthesiologists who support procedures performed in interventional fluoroscopy labs may also benefit from learning the basics of fluoroscopy and radiation protection, taught in the Basic Training Program.  Choose Annual Training for Individuals Who Use Fluoroscopic Equipment to meet Joint Commission annual training requirements.

Those looking to learn more about fluoroscopy, including more practical tips for radiation management and optimization of image quality, can choose the Advanced Training Program on the Safe Use of Fluoroscopy. Practices that use fluoroscopy frequently can find key information on establishing a safety culture, patient and risk management, and quality improvement in Establishing a Patient Safety Program in Fluoroscopy.
